To all the parents who have been venting in paper that your kids should have the right to just hang for however long and that it harmless...Man wish you could have been there Saturday night, so I could've seen your faces when these harmless kids broke out into a fight with a mob of 20 or more kids egging it on....priceless.....take your blinders off.  contributed by Chad W.

Highway 29

Highway 29 looks great now that it has been re-paved. However, it would be much nicer if you could paint the white lines on the outside edges of the road. I can't see the road in the pouring down rain without them. Kelly T.

Illegal Immigrants

It would be wonderful if we could do what Arizona is trying to do, the problem we have waited too long to do so. We would be hard pressed to even begin to enforce laws that have been ignored for so long and we would have nowhere to keep them if they were detained. The county jail is already overcrowded and ICE will not even consider them for deportion unless they have a past felony conviction or were previously deported. Besides that for every one you did get rid of 2 would take their place ! Until the federal government stops ignoring the problem and address it there will be no solution. We need to declare war on Illegal imigration just like we did on drugs in the 80s, but hopefully with a little better results. posted by Observer

unfair property tax assessment

I received the info regarding Mr. Bob Blackburn's unfair property tax assessments. Yes, it looks like his property gets the good old boy deal of being assessed at a mere $1,600 per acre while his neighbors are assessed at $9,000, $10,000, as much as $20,000 per acre for similar size lots and right next door. Residents of Timberidge off of Hwy 29 have to pay taxes on land assessed by the tax department at $40,000 per lot, while Mr. Blackburn's Timberidge lots are given the good buddy deal of being assessed at between $5,000 to $9,000. Now, this guy is going to be our next county commissioner where he can oversee more of his good buddy deals. What can the residents of Coweta do now!?

Humane Society

Nice job of monday morning quarterbacking by the Humane Society. Only problem is the result will probably be someones pet who has been running around without food for a few days and looks sick or may have an injury will be put down because the Animal Shelter will be afraid of another fiasco. submitted by Observer
